The idea for this painting was inspired by the warm burgundy color of a silk scarf I brought back from Cambodia. ABOUT GICLEES The term "Giclee" refers specifically to a high-quality fine art print produced using specialized inkjet printers and archival-quality inks and papers. Estimating to last up to 200 years. They are considered high end, museum quality. You can't print giclees on standard desktop printers. Interesting Fact: I am often asked why so many of my painting are odd sizes. I often use the Golden Ratio in my composition. It's most famous user was Leonardo da Vinci. It is in all of nature, including our bodies, so it makes things pleasing to the eye. It would be hard to explain here, but you can google it if interested. It is also known as Golden Section or Means and is used in architecture. Bio: Brenda Hart has been painting and drawing most of her life. Though she had other businesses she kept up with her painting. In her younger years she worked in a coal mine, before starting an importing company from Peru. Brenda did this for 30+ years, loving working with artisans and designing a line of hand painted jewelry. She also founded a feral cat rescue that keeps her busy. While all this was going on, she had several great private painting teachers. She also traveled to rural England multiple times to study Trompe l' oeil mural painting with Janet Shearer. She paints murals in her studio on canvas that can be installed anywhere. Brenda has been in galleries in Colorado and New Mexico. She now lives in rural Fort Lupton, CO along with 10 ex-feral cats.
