PLUTO in need of new home. Very hard to find Disney Collectible from 1990s. Disney Store display statues are VERY difficult to find because displays such as this rare life-size PLUTO figure were either destroyed or put up for auction in extremely limited quantities. Pluto has some tiny scuffs but the general condition is excellent for a figure of this age. Comes with red cloth collar and his "adoption papers" — Disney's original Certificate of Authenticity which reads: "With tilted head and upward-rolling eyes, this standing Pluto figure was previously features as part of a Disney Store themed display." As noted in the COA, the missing ears and tail were indeed replaced and included, however: ***PLEASE NOTE: The very long tail fits into the hole but hangs low as shown. Would need some repair to get it to stick out straight as it was originally designed to do. Bigger issue: the tiny metal bar that allows Pluto's right ear to fit into the ear hole has come apart from the ear. The ear can sort of be put in place to dangle by first sticking the metal bar into the hole and then very carefully positioning the ear in place, but this too would benefit from a repair to keep it sturdy. It is very precarious and can easily come loose. If you're not comfortable with this frustrating flaw, best to let Pluto go to another home. See photos that clearly show the issues along with attempted repair work with putty. Just as the Disney Store auction clarified, the display figure has been cleaned and prepared for sale, but may still exhibit varying degrees of wear and damage - including but not limited to holes and cracks in the fiberglass.
